What began as a simple birthday gift quietly changed the direction of my life. At the time, it felt like a thoughtful gesture—small, meaningful, and unexpected. Originally from California, my journey took an unexpected turn when my husband was stationed in Mayport, Florida, serving in the U.S. Navy. Together, we made the move across the country, embracing a season of change, transition, and growth. When his service came to an end, we chose to stay in the Jacksonville area—what started as a temporary assignment had become home. It was here, far from where I began, that my vision truly took root.
